I have my lovely parents staying with us for the next couple of weeks and I am very happy about this but it has raised a few questions for me. At what age do people start wearing socks and sandals? At what age do you get fitted for a flat cap? At what age is it acceptable to embarrass your offspring so mercilessly, by continually asking Portuguese waitresses for brown sauce? At what age do you suddenly begin to think that wearing a shirt that looks like a stick of Blackpool rock, is fashionable?

At Unionjacs this week we had a visitor from near to Penela, wanting 20 loaves of bread for his delightful wife. This got me thinking, what is the one food that you desperately miss from back home? Why not tell me and I will try to get it for you.

This week we have got Southern fried chicken and also popcorn chicken, new in. Why not give them a go? If you do, please let me know what you think of them. For the more nostalgic, we have liquorice Catherine wheels and mini chicken kievs.

Finally if you hear of any good deals on wood please let me know as I am thinking of building an ark.

James
