Well, I sit here riddled with guilt about my ‘blog silence’ and can only apologise!

Life here on the Silver Coast is still good – in fact more than that, it’s great - but my new working life has really stopped me doing all the indulgent things I took for granted before. I shouldn’t complain however, because I love my new job, but I do find it difficult to sit down at the computer in the evening after doing exactly that all day!

The Boy King and CG have really bonded since I started work and seem to find plenty of games and fun things to get up to while I am out of the house, most of it involving dinosaurs, Godzilla and general fighting of course!

Roly and her piglets are all doing well.  The four little ones seem to have grown at an extraordinary rate due, I expect, to the fact that there are only four of them. Gosh they eat a lot though. . .

The piglets are gorgeous, two of them are pink with black spots and the other two are a sort of browny colour – they actually look as though they have been smoked already! The two ‘smoked’ ones are the ones I have decided to keep. CG agrees (but I’m not sure he has put as much thought into it as I have). I have named them after my parents, (with their blessing), Pam the Ham and Peter the Porker.

My Creative Genius husband is actually in charge of the pigs and looks after them very well, but I should mention that the new pigsty is still ‘under construction’ due to bad weather and other distractions. . .

Jake the dog and Tiger the cat are both still alive and well, (no more horrible poison incidents thank goodness), and the chickens are suddenly all laying well, in fact so well that we are snowed under with eggs. James at Union Jacs, the British food shop in Tornada, sells them for us sometimes which is helpful, in fact talking of James I would like to be the first to announce that he will be contributing regular blogs to Silver Coast News – well, someone has to make up for my absence!

James is a very entertaining man and great company, so I am really looking forward to his contributions. No pressure James. . .
