These impressive caves were discovered on the 27th July 1947, but they were not open to the public until 1971. Since then millions of people have marvelled at the under ground rock formations with names such as the Great Hall, the Red Room, the Jewellery, the Jelly Fish and the Martian. One of the most stunning features is the Black River which leads to the Great Lake at the end of the tour, 110 metres under ground.
Two lifts are then available to take you up to ground level.
