Brand New School of Performing Arts to Open in Caldas da Rainha

Ever fancied a career on the stage? Or maybe you are a big fan of Fame or High School Musical?

Well, if so you will very pleased to know that you now have the perfect opportunity to learn more about drama, singing and music at Portugal’s Premier School of Performing Arts which will be opening later this month in Caldas da Rainha.

The brilliant idea for a performing arts school was thought up by a British actress who has chosen to swap her life in the theatre and in front of the camera for one in the sun on the Silver Coast.

Fiona Spreadborough has so far had a varied career which has gone from strength to strength, her stage and screen roles include several feature films and TV roles (including Eastenders!) so there is no question that acting is in her blood.

The Portuguese and English School of Performing Arts is located close to the Vivaci Shopping Centre near the centre of town and will offer classes to children, teenagers and adults in singing, dancing and acting.

The school is also offering an ‘outreach project’ to local schools so as many children as possible will have the opportunity to take part.
